Virgin America airline is trying again to enter the Chicago market by reviving its efforts to negotiate gate space at O'Hare.
The California-based airline was thwarted two years ago from offering low-cost flights to popular West Coast cities because nearly all of O'Hare's gates are under long-term lease to American, United and Delta. "We are still hopeful we can come to an agreement on gates and bring our service to ORD [O'Hare] soon," said Virgin America spokeswoman Abby Lunardini. Virgin America is known for its upscale amenities such as on-demand food and drink service, the ability to send text messages between seats and "mood-lighting." Source: suntimes.comAutor: eTurboNews |
