Turism&Travel : Delta unveils new Delta Sky Club in Seattle

Thursday 01 September 2011

SEATTLE, Wash.
- Delta Air Lines today celebrates the opening of a new Delta Sky Club at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the third new or renovated club to open this month across the Delta system as part of the airline's more than $2 billion investment in enhancing the customer experience on the ground and in the air.

"The new Delta Sky Club will be a great asset to customers, both the international travelers passing through Seattle and those who call the Seattle area home," said Steve Sear, Delta vice president – Global Sales. "The experience offers a great space to relax and recharge as well as something that truly says Seattle: views of the landmark Mt. Rainier."

The new club, located on the roof of the South Satellite, measures nearly 8,300 square feet and offers a full wall of windows with a view of Mt. Rainier. For international passengers traveling to or through Seattle, the club also offers shower suites and a recharge zone with comfortable lounge chairs.

The new award-winning Delta Sky Club design includes a full service bar with complimentary beverages and snacks throughout the day; art featuring aerial landscapes of the region; personalized flight assistance; updated restrooms; satellite television and a work zone complete with complimentary Wi-Fi, cyber counters with power outlets, desktop computers, wireless printers and additional charging stations.

"The new Delta Sky Club is a testament to Delta's commitment to the Seattle market," said Port of Seattle Commissioner John Creighton. "The Port of Seattle is privileged that Delta, one of the world's largest airlines, has chosen Seattle as its premiere gateway on the West Coast."

Delta has 38 daily departures out of Sea-Tac to 12 destinations, including Amsterdam, Beijing, Osaka and Tokyo-Narita.

In the last year, Delta has unveiled nine renovated or new clubs across the Delta system, all featuring the new Delta Sky Club design.
